2 found dead in burning car in Normandy neighborhood, JSO says

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two people were found dead in a burning car on Harrold Avenue.

According to detectives, at around 9:35 p.m., officers responded to calls about gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a car on fire.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded and put out the fire. Two deceased individuals were found inside the remains of the car.

Detectives with the Homicide and Crime Scene units are working with the State Fire Marshal on this on-going investigation.
