Next to a heated battle in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Miami Heat managed to maintain their lead over the Boston Celtics and are now heading to the 2023 NBA Finals. After playing a historic Game 7 – the Celtics were the fourth team in the in league history to force a Game 7 after falling to an 0-3 series hole – the Heat are now jumping on a plane to the town of Mile High, where they will play NBA Finals debutants Denver Nuggets. Game 1 gives Nuggets home court tips Thursday, June 1 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.

Which teams are playing in the 2023 NBA Finals

After a long battle in the NBA Eastern Conference between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, the Heat held on to their 3-0 series lead, defeating the Celtics in Game 7 after the Boston basketball players managed to bring the streak tied with three straight wins over the Heat.

The 2023 NBA Finals will be the Nuggets’ first-ever Finals. The Heat have come seven times so far, with three NBA Finals victories under their belt.
