Idris Elba stars as a skilled negotiator who boards a plane full of terrorists in the new Apple TV+ series, Divert.
The series premieres on Apple TV+ on June 28 with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through August 2.
Here is an official synopsis:
Told in real time, “Hijack” is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it heads for London on a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers. Elba will star as “Sam Nelson”, an accomplished business negotiator who must step up and use all his cunning to try to save the lives of passengers – but his high-risk strategy could be his downfall. Panjabi will play the role of “Zahra Gahfoor”, a counter-terrorism officer who is on the ground when the plane is hijacked and is part of the investigation.
