2 men arrested for shooting 25-year-old man at Butler Co.

A 25-year-old man was shot multiple times following an argument with another group of individuals in Fairfield Township late Saturday night.

Fairfield Township police were dispatched to the 6800 block of Paducah Drive at 11:25 p.m. following reports of gunfire, a department spokesperson said.

Police arrived at the scene and discovered a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the injury, the victim was transported to Kettering Health Hamilton by private vehicle for treatment. The victim was operated on during the night for the injuries he suffered. His condition remained unknown at the time of writing the report.

Investigators worked through the night and, after a preliminary investigation, were able to arrest 19-year-old Jacob Daniel Little. He was charged with felony assault. He was incarcerated in the Butler County Jail pending arraignment.

Authorities also arrested 48-year-old Virgil “Wayne” Davidson for incapacitated gun possession. He was incarcerated in the Butler County Jail pending arraignment. Davidson’s connection to the incident was not released at the time of reporting.

The two men allegedly shot the victim after an ongoing argument between the two groups of individuals.

The Fairfield Township Police Department led the investigation into the shooting.
