STREAM IT: Sydney Sweeney isn’t euphoric in HBO drama Reality

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney quits high school to Reality – a screen adaptation of a 2019 off-Broadway play based on the true story of Reality Winner: the US Air Force enlisted man who leaked a classified intelligence report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. That election, of course, saw Donald Trump win the presidency over Hillary Clinton, and rumors about Russia’s role behind the scenes have dogged him throughout his time at the White House. Arrested by authorities in 2017, Winner was sentenced to five years in prison and released in 2021. Sweeney speaks Winner’s actual words in the film, as the script uses the real transcript of the interrogation that preceded her imprisonment. . — EA

It may have taken 32 years to settle, but the film is finally getting the prime treatment on home entertainment with a new release on Criterion. Stallone starred as a mountain climber who gets caught up in the search for stolen cash in the Rockies (OK so hey, that’s kind of Rocky movie), with John Lithgow delivering a thrilling ride as the Big Bad, in this cliffside thriller. The film celebrates its 30th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD release this week that features extras including commentary from Stallone and director Renny Harlin, deleted scenes and more. — computer
