Billie Eilish isn’t happy with how critics on social media have questioned her style evolution.

The Grammy Award winner, 21, got candid on her Instagram Story over the weekend, sharing a response to negative comments she was seeing online about the way she dresses.

“I spent the first 5 years of my career being completely OBLITED by you fools for being a boy and dressing the way I did and was constantly told I’d be sexier if I acted like a woman,” Eilish captioned a close-up photo of her face. “Now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything feminine or fitted, I’ve CHANGED and sold out.”

“You are real idiots,” she continued, calling her detractors “bozos” who must “let women rest”.

“Also femininity doesn’t equal weakness???!!!! omg?! that’s crazy right? who knew,” she added. “And also totally unheard of and insane to want to express yourself differently at different times.”

In her latest Instagram story, Eilish left critics on social media a goodbye message to remember her position. “Suck my absolute c— and b—, you women who hate a— weirdos.”

In March, Eilish opened up to Conan O’Brien about his Conan O’Brien needs a friend podcast about how her approach to social media has changed over the years, and how she even deleted apps from her phone to avoid it.

As she explained, what “freaks” her about the internet “is how gullible it makes you.”

“Everything I read on the internet, I believe. Me! And I know for a fact that’s stupid and that I shouldn’t do that because I have proof that it’s not all true. Almost none of this is true,” she said. “It’s, like, little things, little white lies, that go over everybody’s head, but everybody believes .”

Eilish also mentioned one video in particular that called her a “horrible person” and described her thought process upon seeing it.

“And then it was a very serious why video. The person seemed in the right headspace and they were saying all these things. I was like, ‘Jeez, wow,'” Eilish said. “It’s just such a crazy reality that I live in. I’m like, ‘This is my confront. This is my name. It’s me. Oh interesting. ALL RIGHT. GOOD.’ “

“It’s those definitive statements that they know to be right, somehow they know it, someone told them,” she added. “God came down and said, ‘That’s the truth about Billie and you know that for a fact. You don’t know it, but you know it’s the truth and you have to tell everyone about it and everyone will believe it.’ “

Eilish already said SHE in the cover story of the magazine’s October 2021 issue, she lost thousands of Instagram followers due to a cosmetic refresh at the time. It came as Eilish debuted a new look for her happier than ever album.

“People cling to those memories and have an attachment. But it’s very dehumanizing. I lost 100,000 followers just because of boobs. People are scared of big boobs,” she said in laughing. “…You’re not even supposed to really know who you are until you’re at least my age or older.”

“I didn’t have a goal of ‘This is going to make everyone think differently from me.’ I’ve had different colored hair and vibes for everything I’ve done. I wanted this album to have its own thing,” she added. “The other day I posted a video from when I had green hair, and I saw people say, ‘I miss that Billie, the green-haired Billie.’ I’m still the same person, I’m not just different Barbies with different heads.
