The Sarasota Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened on Monday.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., one shot was fired in a home on the 1600 block of 36th Street. No one was struck or injured.

Police officials were unable to say what caused the shooting and who was involved. The investigation is active and ongoing.
