yellow jackets ended its second season on Showtime with a murderous ending and a promise that things will get “stranger”.
In a Twitter thread posted on Friday, Co-creator Ashley Lyle expressed her gratitude to her cast and crew for working “to the max” on a season that went to extremes – including a surprise death at the end of the season. As a result, some fans weren’t too happy with how she, co-creator Bart Nickerson, and their writers decided to wrap up the drama about a team of high school football players who survived a plane crash in the desert.

“So I know some people really enjoyed the Yellowjackets finale…and some people….didn’t. Is receiving death threats a right of passage for the showrunner? Lyle wrote on Twitter. without this one! But I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who accompanied us on this ride.
yellow jackets was renewed for a third season in December, ahead of the second season’s premiere in March.
