It’s almost time to say goodbye to Henry Cavill’s version of Geralt Of Rivia on Netflix the witcher, with Liam Hemsworth stepping in to replace the older Superman in the show’s fourth season, but Netflix isn’t just going to take you cold turkey without Cavill in your life. Instead, the show’s third season will be split into two parts, with both parts coming out… oddly close to each other.
Today along with a new trailer for the show’s third season, Netflix announced that the first part of season three will be released on June 29th and the second part will be released on July 27th, only a month later. . That means you’ll have to say goodbye to Cavill’s Geralt twice this summer, which should make things a little easier when you realize one of them will be saying goodbye forever. The first volume will consist of five episodes and the second of three episodes, bringing the total to eight.
The aforementioned trailer delves into the “it’s all about family” stuff that the Witcher the cast spoke in May, but fans of the eagle-eyed franchise (especially the books) may notice the appearances of a large, ominous tower and the fact that Geralt and Yennefer appear to be attending some sort of whimsical reunion that may or may not be in the same place, which may or may not lead to a great… thing that happens in the original books (something that would make a good cliffhanger if you split, say, a season in half and needed something big to end the first half). But things could turn out differently on the show, we don’t know yet.
Either way, we don’t have to wait too long to find out, and we don’t have to wait too long after that for even more. Witcher.
