Alabama Softball entered the bottom of the fourth inning with a slim 1-0 lead in the Tuscaloosa Super Regional on Saturday night at Rhoads Stadium.
Crimson Tide center Kristen White did everything she could to keep that lead for her team. She made a leaping catch against the center field wall to deny Northwestern shortstop Maeve Nelson a solo shot to lead the start of the fourth inning.

Alabama starting pitcher Jaala Torrence retired the last two batters of the inning to end the fourth inning.
The Tide took a 1-0 lead late in the first inning when Bailey Downing drove Ashley Prange on a sacrifice fly. Prange had led the match with a brace.
Northwestern tied the game in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Jordyn Rudd.
The Crimson Tide dropped Game 1 of the Super Regional 3-1 to the Wildcats and need a win on Saturday to keep their season alive.
