What’s Going On With Nvidia Wednesday?

Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock is trading higher as the artificial intelligence tailwinds continue to blow in a favorable direction.

AI beneficiaries, Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT) president Brad Smith and Nvidia’s chief scientist, William Dally, testified in Senate AI hearings.

The hearing began with Senator Richard Blumenthal seeking a risk-based approach to regulating AI.

Earlier this week, Blumenthal and Josh Hawley, a Missouri Republican, introduced a bipartisan AI framework requiring companies to register with an independent oversight body responsible for licensing high-risk AI technology, the Guardian reports.

Meanwhile, Nvidia launched an update that will improve Starfield performance for RTX 30- and 40-series card owners.

The automatic over-the-air update will enable Resizable BAR and boost Bethesda Game Studios’ action role-playing game performance for its latest GPUs.

Nvidia has also fixed its GPU profile for the Microsoft Store version of Starfield.

Nvidia’s updates come just days after Digital Foundry experts flagged Starfield’s bizarrely worse experience on Nvidia and Intel Corp (NASDAQ: INTC) than Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ: AMD) GPUs.
